# Understand your results

Sent, opens, clicks, replies and bounces, and why some opens don't count.

## Replies: the number to trust

Replies are real people writing back. They are the best sign that a campaign works.

## Opens

Opens are a rough signal. Some people read with images off. Some machines load images without anyone reading.

-   **Open tracking is off by default** for cold email. The tracking image can hurt inbox placement. Turn it on in the builder if you want it.
-   We separate **real opens** from **machine opens**:
    -   Opened in a mail app: counted.
    -   Opened in Gmail (through Google’s image proxy): counted.
    -   **Apple Mail Privacy** preloads every image, read or not: shown, not counted.
    -   **Security scanners and bots**: shown, not counted.

## Clicks

Links go through a redirect so you can see who clicked. Clicks by security scanners are never counted.

## One lead’s story

Click a lead to see everything that happened, email by email: sent, opened, clicked, replied, with times.

## Sending history

**Sending history** lists every email sent across all campaigns, with what happened after. Filter by campaign, list or event.
