Acceptable use policy.
What you can and can't send with GTM and Outreach.
GTM and Outreach is for honest, relevant business email to people who might want to hear from you. These rules protect your domain, other customers and the people you email. Breaking them can get sending paused or an account suspended.
Always
- Email people for a clear, relevant business reason, and say who you are.
- Use real sender names and accurate subject lines.
- Let people unsubscribe easily and honour it straight away. We keep the one-click unsubscribe header on, and block unsubscribed addresses for you.
- Follow the laws that apply to you and to your recipients, including anti-spam and data protection laws.
- Use contact data you have the right to use.
Never
- Send phishing, malware, scams, or anything deceptive, such as fake invoices or pretending to be another company or person.
- Promote gambling or betting, adult content, weapons, illegal drugs, tobacco or vapes, hacking tools, get-rich-quick or MLM schemes, or high-risk financial products.
- Send political campaign messages.
- Email lists you bought or scraped without a lawful basis, or addresses you know don't want your email.
- Hide or fake who you are, or keep emailing someone who asked you to stop.
- Try to get around our limits, reviews or blocklist, for example by spreading one campaign across many accounts.
- Use the service to run a fake-engagement or warm-up network.
What we do
- We review each account's first campaign, and check content against these rules.
- We pause campaigns, mailboxes or whole accounts automatically when bounce rates spike.
- We may pause or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we explain why and how to fix it.
Got an email you think broke these rules? Forward it to [email protected] with "Abuse" in the subject. We look at every report.
